We use special fabric made from carefully selected extra-long staple cotton at a domestic factory with over 100 years of history.
Inspired by the fabric used by the British military in the 19th century, the fabric has been woven to the utmost density to achieve waterproofness and durability that you wouldn't expect from a 100% cotton garment, while still maintaining breathability and moisture permeability.
This material has unique functionality and can be called the "natural fiber Gore-Tex" because it repels rain better than a regular umbrella.
It can be worn comfortably from early spring to the rainy season, regardless of temperature or weather. In addition, you can enjoy the deep texture and three-dimensional look that seems to contain air, thanks to the yarn dyeing.
When first worn, it has a crisp texture like rigid denim, but one of its charms is that the texture improves over time and it softens and conforms to the body.
In terms of design, every pattern has been reconstructed from scratch, based on a traditional American outdoor field coat, from the collar shape, pocket size, arm circumference, and overall silhouette. The half-coat length makes it perfect for casual wear, even when worn lightly over a shirt or knit. Inside pockets on both sides of the chest make it practical. The buttons are made of genuine buffalo horn, which develop a natural sheen with age.
