The design is based on a vintage French work jacket. The functions required of a work jacket are to protect the body from protruding parts of machinery, to protect from heat and cold, to eliminate any features that could get caught in machine tools, to be stain-resistant and waterproof, and to have storage that is suitable for holding equipment.
What's particularly interesting about vintage workwear is that its user-friendly features and designs have become even more user-friendly and have been refined over the years.
