A renewed model of the waffle mid-neck.
When the Waffle Mid Neck was first developed in 2016, it was released with the theme of being a stylish, warm thermal inner layer, using extra-thick ribbing around the neck, cuffs, and hem. However, 10 years later, the design has been revised to be worn on its own, taking into account autumn temperatures and changes in how the garment is worn.
The main changes are an increase of 6cm in width and 2cm in length, and a pattern with more room around the shoulders. The material remains the same as before, 100% cotton big waffle, a material that is both warm and durable.
To prevent stretching and shrinkage due to wear and washing, the rolled fabric is unrolled and left for 24 hours. This allows the fabric to return to its natural state and flattens any stressed areas, reducing deformation and shrinkage after washing. The main parts are sewn with a flat seam to prevent bulky seams.
It puts less stress on the skin when worn and the parts that come into direct contact with the skin are comfortable.
The neck, cuffs, and hem are made of lightweight, stiff needle-punched ribbing, so there is almost no stretching or shrinking when washing. The design is inspired by a classic baseball undershirt for cold weather, giving it a soft, sweater-like feel.

"Jack man"
This is a factory brand originating in Fukui Prefecture that inherits the spirit of Tanabe Mitsugu, the founder of Tanabe Meriyasu.
After the war, he quit his job and founded a factory, where he became an idea man and created new technologies one after another. "Jack" means " home run" or "hit high, " and it comes from American baseball, which the founder admired.
