This stand-neck jacket is made from a material that has been processed by applying strong heat and pressure to a knitted fabric made from wool ring yarn.
Ring yarn is a ring-shaped yarn made by twisting a tangled yarn around a thin, strong core yarn, which stabilizes unstable wool and maintains its soft texture. Materials knitted with this yarn have a hard texture similar to wool melton, but with just the right amount of softness and a rounded appearance. The design is inspired by the smog shirts worn by baseball groundskeepers, retaining gimmicks such as the drawstring at the collar to keep out rain and the flaps to protect the pockets from dirt and dust.
The shoulders and armholes, which are subject to stress, are reinforced with double stitching. This is a loose-fitting, oversized stand-neck jacket with drawstrings.

This is a factory brand originating in Fukui Prefecture that inherits the spirit of Tanabe Mitsugu, the founder of Tanabe Meriyasu.
After the war, he quit his job and founded a factory, where he became an idea man and created new technologies one after another. "Jack" means " home run" or "hit high, " and it comes from American baseball, which the founder admired.
